DM1810 Inexpensive Mesh Networking The RFM DM1810 Modules are an inexpensive embedded solution for small mesh networking applications of several hundred nodes. The DM1810 are based on an RFM ASH radio and a PIC microcontroller, and are ideal for applications that require long-life operation on batteries. The DM1810 include the miniMESH networking protocol that uses router nodes to extend network coverage. ULTRA-LOW-POWER / ULTRA RELIABLE. Based on DUST Networks' SmartMesh-XD technology, RFM's XDM2140 module is designed to provide excellent communications reliability and is tailored for use in battery and line powered wireless devices for applications that require proven performance and scalability. The XDM2140's combination of an IEEE802.15.4 transceiver and Time Synchronized Mesh Protocol (TSMP) blends the reliability of self-organizing and self-healing mesh networking with synchronized power duty cycling to achieve years of battery life. FLEXIBILTY. The XDM2140 requires no embedded programming, greatly reducing the development time and cost of a wireless sensor network application. VERSATILITY. The multifunctional interface of the XDM2140 gives it the versatility to be used in a wide variety of applications, from energy management to building control to machine health monitoring. OPTIMUM NETWORK PERFORMANCE. The XDM2140 companion gateway and network manager – the XG2400E – combines standard Ethernet gateway functions with sophisticated networking, data, and security management capabilities for a network of XDM2140 modules. The network manager portion runs advanced algorithms to continuously optimize network performance and communications reliability to accommodate changing RF and environmental conditions. It also continuously monitors network performance and makes on-the-fly adjustments to ensure ultra-high data communications reliability. Adjustments include black-listing poor performing channels on a node-by-node basis and then white-listing them when conditions improve. SAME FORM FACTOR. At 1.05 sq. inch footprint, the XDM2140 series has the same form factor as RFM’s IEEE 802.15.4 LPR2430 series modules, Wi-Fi WSN802G modules and wireless mesh ZigBee ZMN2430 series modules. SAME PINOUT as RFM’s IEEE 802.15.4 LPR2430 series modules, Wi-Fi WSN802G modules and wireless mesh ZigBee ZMN2430 series modules. FCC / IC / ETSI CERTIFIED.
