Wireless Transceiver by Network Type
ZigBee networks: RFM offers several ZigBee RF transceiver modules. These include the ZMN-2400 (2.4 GHz) modules, each available in 1 mW standard version plus a 100 mW version for longer range; and two ZigBee conditioning boards, the ZB-2401 (2.4 GHz).
802.15.4 networks: RFM offers two 2.4 GHz 802.15.4 modules: the LPR2400 (1 mW RF power) and the LPR2400ER (extended range at 65 mW RF power).
DM MESH Networks: RFM offers three product lines specifically developed for UHF wireless sensor networks - the DM1800, DM1810 and DM2200. All three product lines employ RFM’s ASH radio technology to achieve very low operating current, making them ideal for battery powered networks. The miniMESH™ protocol used in the DM1800 and DM1810, and the VersaMESH™ protocol used in the DM2200 include provisions to “sleep” duty cycle all routing and/or sensor nodes to further extend battery life. Battery operation is an important benefit in many applications as it greatly simplifies network installations and reduces installation costs.
Proprietary FHSS networks: RFM's wireless transceiver (WIT) modules are fully functional wireless modems used to create wireless networks that communicate with HopNet standalone modems for serial connectivity, or with SNAP network access points for serial-to-Ethernet connections. WIT modules include the WIT910 (900 MHz), three WIT2400 series (2.4 GHz) modules, and the WIT5811 (5.8 MHz). All are FCC certified; the 2.4 GHz transceivers are also CE marked as modules. Designs that incorporate these wireless transceiver modules need not repeat type approval.
Bluetooth RF transceiver solutions: RFM offers two Bluegiga WRAP THOR modules, one embedded and one with a board-to-board interface.
802.11b environment: RFM has 802.11b wireless transceiver module is interoperable with industry standard 802.11b access points, providing a low cost infrastructure for connection to a LAN and to the Internet.
