RFM NAMED TOP 100 IN M2M BY M2M MAGAZINE FOR FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--December 15, 2009--RF Monolithics, Inc., (NASDAQ:RFMI) (RFM) a leader in machine-to-machine (M2M) wireless communications announced today that for the fourth consecutive year, the company was recognized by M2M Magazine as one of the top 100 M2M companies world-wide.

The “2010 M2M 100” is a list of the most important and influential M2M technology providers as determined by the editors of M2M Magazine and its editorial advisory board. Published annually, the M2M 100 is designed to provide a snapshot of the market as it exists today and the companies with the greatest impact on its direction. Companies are chosen for the M2M 100 based on a number of criteria, including strength and number of customer references; establishment in the market; growth potential; and active involvement in and support for the M2M community.

  • A new series of Multi-Function Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) RF Modules – the DNT900 at 900 MHz and the DNT2400 at 2.4 GHz. The DNT series is an innovative line of highly configurable, low-cost FHSS modules are suitable for wide variety of applications including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) applications, Industrial Automation and Control, and Wireless Sensor Networking. The DNT series RF modules deliver serial and I/O data, multiple RF data rates, and multiple RF power rates (up to 1 Watt for the DNT900 and can be adjusted from 1mW to 100mW for the DNT2400).
  • An additional series of 2.4 GHz RF Modules to its 802.15.4 product line – the LPR2430. The new LPR2430 series provides the flexibility and versatility to serve a variety of applications, from simple cable replacement to remote terminal data collection to sophisticated sensor networks. The LPR2430 series RF modules is comprised of the low-power 1mW RF power LPR2430 and LPR2430A modules and the extended range 100mW RF power LPR2430ER and LPR2430ERA modules.
  • Expanded low-power short-range radio RFIC line with the addition of the new 300 MHz to 510 MHz TRC105 transceiver radio – the TRC105. This new enabling two-way wireless communications in a wide range of applications including AMR (Automated Meter Reading), Medical (MICS), Home & Industrial Automation, Security Systems, Two-Way RKE (Remote Keyless Entry), Automobile Immobilizers, Asset Tracking Systems, Sports & Recreation Equipment, Low Power Two-Way Telemetry Systems, Wireless Toys, and Controlled Entry/Access.
